The extra long 5. 6 in. probe allows your hands to be kept at a same distance when checking the temperature of meats or hot oil. The length of the probe makes it an ideal tool for grilling or frying when your hand may need to be near hot coals, hot oil, or grill grates. The DH9 boasts a large display, with large numbers that are easy to read, even in lower light settings.
