Constructed of silvered coupal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised propeller, anchor, and edelweiss, representing the Luftwaffe, Kriegmarine, and Gebirgsjger (Heer) respectively, topped by an inscription of NARVIK and a German national eagle perched on top of a wreathed swastika, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with
