Cabinets like this one are now rare to find and this one would have come from Xi'an. The bold carvings adoring this piece show off a wealth of Chinese natural scenes depicting both animals and landscapes. The black lacquer surface is worn with age. Our restoration team has carefully consolidated and conserved the lacquer to avoid any further aging.
