Red Painted Japanese Choba Dansu - Taishō Period Material - Pear Wood 220 x 100 x 77This is a Japanese choba dansu is unusual as it is rare to find red painted Japanese antique furniture. Originally a merchants chest it has multiple compartments, drawers & sliding doors. Light, but well made, this Japanese tansu has its original black painted iron fittings. Made in traditional style of 2 parts with 7 drawers & sliding doors top & bottom. 3 further drawers behind bottom sliding panels. Although this could be older, we believe this
